From words to actions: turning waste into income has become easier

The prospects for the work of modern stationary or mobile waste sorting and recycling complexes in each region were studied at the end of June in Brest.

First of all, it will have a positive effect on the environment, and the use of useful fractions of secondary resources and the processing of waste into heat and electricity will avoid additional costs. In the future, small and medium-sized businesses can increase the volume of processing of production and consumption waste in the country, which can quickly move from an idea to a finished production. It is only necessary to create the appropriate conditions.

Today, the Development Bank has made changes to the criteria for obtaining financing under the "Support to Environmental Projects" product.

“If earlier our support extended to entrepreneurs who have already carried out activities related to the processing, collection, storage, sorting and disposal of waste, and were included in the relevant registers, now credit resources are available to those who are just planning to do it,” explained Yuliya Rusaya, Head of SME Department.

She also added that financing will be provided for current and investment activities to existing enterprises, and for newcomers in this industry - for investment activities with subsequent inclusion in the relevant registers within one year after the commissioning of the facility.

“The maximum amount of funding is 5 million rubles for up to 5 years. The interest rate remains at the same comfortable level: when financing through partner banks - no more than 7.25% per annum,” Yuliya Rusaya summed up.

The implementation of projects in the environmental sphere is not only profitable from a financial point of view, but also has great social significance.

To receive financial support from the Development Bank, representatives of small and medium-sized enterprises can apply in each region of the country to any office of partners, which include large and systemically important banks and leasing organizations.
