With the aim of creating favourable conditions for training and realizing the potential of promising young tennis players who feature high sports results on courts both at home and around the world, the Development Bank launched in 2014 a new social project called “Young Tennis Aces”. In 2016-2018 the project provided for financial support to a Belarusian tennis player Vera Lapko.
Vera is a talented tennis player, frequent winner and medalist of competitions in the Republic of Belarus, example of commitment and endless will to win. Her sport achievements are well-known all over the world. In 2016 17-year-old Lapko became the second tennis player from Belarus who managed to win the Junior Australian Open.

Vera tries not to dream but set up definite goals and tasks.
If she didn’t practice tennis she would like to be a journalist, economist or lawyer (attorney).
Vera has practically no free time, but she tries to spend her free time in the company of her friends and with her family.
