Modern and technological: new сommercial dairy complex appeared in Minsk region with the support of the Development Bank

More than 70 modern and high-tech agricultural facilities of the dairy industry have been built in Belarus with the support of the Development Bank. And every year the number of dairy complexes in the country is growing rapidly.

The day before, a solemn opening ceremony of a large сommercial dairy complex "Kotyagi" took place in Minsk region at JSC "Ignatichi". This enterprise is the winner of the competitive selection for the construction and reconstruction of dairy complexes, held annually by the Development Bank.

"I want to thank everyone involved in the implementation of the project. Thanks to well-coordinated teamwork, we were able to build the facility in the shortest possible time: instead of the expected 17 months, the facility was built in about one calendar year. This project has clearly demonstrated that with effective cooperation, it is possible not only to meet the deadline, but also to complete the work ahead of schedule, while maintaining high quality standards," Director of the enterprise “Ignatichi” Valentyn Stashchuk said.

Chairman of the Minsk District Executive Committee Vladimir Yurgevich, Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Agriculture and Food of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee Vladimir Kapustin and Head of Minsk branch of the Development Bank Inga Tarnovskaya came to congratulate the villagers and employees of the enterprise on the opening of an important facility.

Chairman of the Minsk District Executive Committee Vladimir Yurgevich noted that Minsk region kept up with the times in the direction of the development of animal husbandry and is always among the leaders in milk production, its quality and milk yield. Thus, the capital region sets the pace of development of this industry in other parts of the republic.

"It is gratifying that such complexes will allow us to create good conditions for both the dairy herd and the people who will serve this complex, because human resource is an important factor," the head of the district emphasized.

By the way, the construction of a new сommercial dairy complex made it possible to create 30 new jobs. Now 14 people work at the complex, the figure will increase when as it reaches full design capacity.

As part of the implementation of the second stage of the investment project, two cowsheds for 450 heads each, a building for dry cows, as well as a shed for boxes intended for calves were built at “Kotyagi” complex. The modern and technologically advanced facility will increase milk production from one cow to 9400 kg.

Inga Tarnovskaya, Head of Minsk Branch of the Development Bank, stressed that the Republic of Belarus was among the top ten world leaders in milk exports that day. This achievement was made possible thanks to a targeted state policy in the development of the dairy industry.

"A competitive selection of investment projects is held by the Development Bank every year, that allows to implement exclusively cost-effective and financially viable projects with state support. I am pleased to note that the enterprise “Ignatichi” has become the winner of such a selection and sets ambitious goals. By the end of 2025, a new сommercial dairy complex plans to achieve 10 thousand tons of milk yield per cow, which will significantly exceed the regional average," Inga Tarnovskaya said.

The guests got acquainted with the result of the investment project and discussed promising areas for further cooperation.

Such complexes are an important step forward in the development of the country's agricultural sector. The director of the enterprise noted that the new сommercial dairy complex equipped with modern technologies will improve the quality of products, increase milk production, create decent working conditions for workers and generally ensure the sustainable development of agriculture in the region.

"Upon reaching the design capacity, the complex will be able to sell more than 10 thousand tons of milk per year, and it is over 8 million Belarusian rubles in revenue," the head of the enterprise said.

In addition, Valentyn Stashchuk shared the good news with the guests. On the eve of the solemn opening of the dairy farm, the first calf was born. By the way, the head of the enterprise personally took part in the birth of the first calf, and the staff of the dairy complex is sure that this event is a symbol of the excellent start of the enterprise and its successful development.

The construction of such complexes demonstrates the effectiveness of ongoing investment projects in the agro-industrial sector aimed at modernization of infrastructure and increasing the competitiveness of domestic producers in the domestic and foreign markets.
