"Import substitution: new projects, new opportunities" - the Development Bank became an official partner of a major forum in Minsk

The Development Bank became an official partner of the forum "Import substitution: new projects, new opportunities" that was held in Minsk.

More than three hundred representatives of public and private businesses, financial institutions, and government bodies participated in the event.

During the forum, participants discussed the main investment and import substitution areas, including issues of state policy and regulation in the field of import substitution, as well as shared the experience of successful projects.

The forum was opened by Yuri Chebotar, First Deputy Minister of Economy, who told about the trends of economic development and measures to stimulate investment activity in the Republic of Belarus.

The program of the forum included four panel discussions, where the most important issues of import substitution projects were raised: government policy and regulation in the field of import substitution, sites and locations for the implementation of investment projects, financing of import substitution investment projects, cases of import substitution projects.

Thus, during the panel discussion "Financing of Import Substitution Investment Projects," Alesya Yakimush, Head of the Client Management Department of the Development Bank, spoke about the main aspects of the bank's financing of investment projects. Particular attention was paid to the requirements for business plans of projects and secured transactions.

The consulting company ASER, which organized the forum, noted that the practice of holding such events will be continued. "The number of people who managed to gather at the event indicates the interest of Belarusian business in the agenda and the desire to develop in the field of import substitution," the company stressed.
