Analytics is not only a key success factor for organizations in the real sector of the economy in the modern world, but is also generally important for all spheres of society and the state.
The Head of State established the Belarusian Institute for Strategic Studies in 2019 to provide information and analytical support for the activities of state bodies and organizations in strategic areas of foreign and domestic policy. For more than five years, it has been analyzing the state of domestic political processes, international relations, geopolitical changes in the global, regional and subregional aspects. In addition, the Belarusian “think tank” actively involves talented young people in its activities - it teaches analytical skills to further attract them to the sphere of public administration and economics.
The Belarusian Institute for Strategic Studies has organized a summer school for young analysts for the first time this year, which was attended by 25 students of higher education institutions of the country. For four days, young people took part in thematic seminars, master classes and dialogue platforms with experts, visited leading institutions and organizations of the country.
Dzmitry Yarashevich, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of the Development Bank, met with the participants of the program on the final day of the summer school for young analysts.
During the conversation with young people, he noted that high-quality analytics is the key to economic growth, political stability and social satisfaction, and the result of the work of specialists in this sphere directly affects the development of effective strategies and the adoption of competent management decisions.
“The Development Bank works to ensure that real sector enterprises, the business community and other economic entities bring the maximum possible benefit to our country every day. It is impossible to achieve such results without high-quality analytics of various processes. Therefore, in addition to the fact that there are specialists in this sphere among the Bank's employees, we are actively cooperating with the BISS in the area of macroeconomic analysis and other areas related to the economy,” said Dzmitry Yarashevich.
The Deputy Chairman of the Management Board stressed that there was no development without analytics. It is extremely important because it allows you to identify opportunities for growth, improve performance and predict future events.
Despite the age of the participants, the conversation was quite serious. Among the topics touched upon were not only the activities of the Development Bank, but also the current state of the economy, the work of large enterprises and businesses, as well as issues related to the future of our country.
By the way, it is the second meeting of young analysts with the leadership of the Development Bank. The participants of the project visited the Bank earlier, where they were given a tour and told about the activities of the national development institution and its importance for the country's economy.
