Chairman of the Management Board of the Development Bank participated in press conference devoted to completion of Turov cross reconstruction

On September 23, 2020 the Chairman of the Management Board of JSC Development Bank of the Republic of Belarus Andrey Zhishkevich took part in the press conference devoted to the completion of reconstruction of the Turov Diocese cross of 12th -13th centuries.
The speakers of the event held in the Press House were: Metropolitan of Minsk and Zaslavl Veniamin, Patriarchal Exarch of all Belarus; Deputy Director for Science of the History Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Belarus Vadim Lakiza; Chairperson of Synodic Department of Belarusian Orthodox Church for church art, architecture and restoration Maria Netsvetaeva; artist, author of the Turov cross design project Elena Andryushchenko and the jeweler who created the Turov cross Oleg Ermolovich.
Andrey Zhishkevich in his speech noted that the Development Bank alongside with project realization in economic and financial spheres also renders support to social and cultural projects. Since 2015 the Bank has been realizing its own social program “Cultural Heritage of Belarus” with annual issues of album-books devoted to outstanding events and figures in Belarusian culture and arts. The Development Bank also actively participated in the project of Turov cross reconstruction, which in the opinion of the Chairman, serves as one of the symbolic objects, most important for Belarusian development and history.
