Belarusian production, Cuban assembly: export project has been implemented with support of the Development Bank

In April, President of Belarus Alexandr Lukashenko noted at the meeting on industrial development that there is a huge demand for industrial products in Africa, Latin America and Asia.

"Here we need to work hard, occupy our niches. And we should understand that our strategic task is to create joint assembly plants of Belarusian equipment in the supporting countries. The key goal today is export diversification. The necessary conditions have been created, and you need to use measures of financial support to Belarusian exports as actively as possible," the head of state addressed the representatives of industry.

The first ever batch in the history of relations between Belarus and Cuba of MTZ tractor assembly kits was delivered to Cuba with the DBRB’s financial assistance. It is worth noting that products made by the Belarusian manufacturing sector had been shipped to satisfy needs of the agriculture of the Latin American country before but in an assembled state. The realization of this pilot project has allowed reaching a new level of cooperation and stepping up integration in economic relations of the two countries.
